where to visit this Christmas.

Christmas is a special time on the farm. As a family we love getting the tree, wintery forest walks and of course mince pies! We are lucky enough to be close to some great local events and attractions at this festive time. We enjoy welcoming families and friends to the farm to create their own special memories here together that they will chrish forever.

Winchester Christmas Market 18th November - 22nd December 10am-6pm/8pm. this is always the top of my list for places to visit at Christmas time. a 25 minute drive from the cottage is the famous Winchester Christmas Market. Use Winchester park and ride to get in to Winchester town centre which always looks beautiful at Christmas and visit the market in the Cathedral grounds. it's a magical place to visit with individual huts selling local art, crafts and food. The best time to go to avoid the grounds is early but if you want to visit when it's at its most magical visit after 5pm where the lights of the market and cathedral feel so festive and special. Why not visit the famous cathedral during your visit too and visit the illuminated display ?

another cathedral city not too far away from us is Salisbury. Visit The cobbled streets of butcher row or the market square for gift inspiration on a Sunday throughout December. They have a Christmas trail through the medieval streets of Salisbury at each stop you can enjoy and photograph the festive themed displays.

if your looking to add a Christmas decoration or two to your collection one of my favorite places to ick one up is Fairweathers garden centre they also whave an amazing selection. although a sall garden centre this independent local garden centre is a lovly place to visit. Located on Beaulieu high street we visit every Christmas and pick up a new tree decoration.

Again This year Beaulieu Motor museum doesn't disappoint with their festive offerings. Beaulieu festive fair is on 9th-11th December with artisan creators crafters and Makers as well as food stalls entertainment and even the big man himself making an appearance. perhaps your looking for something to get you in the festive spirit? Beaulieu has its own outdoor theatre production of the snow Queen from 16th December - 2nd January this spectacular production takes place around the ruins of the abbey. With afternoon and Magical evening performances wrap up warm for this live outdoor event.
