​OUR STORY
The cottages and farm are a family affair and you may see a few of us during your stay I'm Louise and I will be your host during your stay but you will also see Jeremy & Kim my in-laws who live on the farm and my Husband James and our children Evie and Fern we are all here to make sure you enjoy your stay.
Moulands Farm has been in the family for decades and is currently a mixed farm producing hay and haylage in the summer months and cattle in the autumn and winter . We are lucky to have an abundance of wildlife on our doorstep and regularly see deer, foxes, pheasants, and lots of birds.
The cottages opened in 2021 after extensive renovation they were once barns that used to house animals on the farm for many years when the farm was previously run as a dairy. We have tried to preserve as much of the original character of the buildings as possible as well as making sure it feel warm and welcoming, I'm sure you will spot some of the original features when you stay with us.

THE FARM
visit the farm and let you and your family reconnect with nature
During your stay we want you to experience the tranquility of the countryside, forest and the farm. As well as taking in the picturesque views of the fields during the day from our deck, we encourage you to take in the amazing stars in the clear summer nights.

the farm has been in the family for decades and we are now getting to share this beautiful place with our guests. the most special part of our farm is the bluebell wood between May & June this woodland is a sea of blue. we will let you explore this wonder maybe even have a picnic and enjoy the perfume from these magical flowers.
Every morning our chickens will provide you with farm fresh eggs daily and if you listen carefully you can make out the cows in the field. We have lots to keep you and your family occupied during your stay including lots of outdoor games for the children.

Please remember that we are a working farm which means occasionally fields may be inaccessible and gates need to be kept closed. These are circumstances beyond our control but we are always happy to discuss this with you if there is any uncertainty.

If you decide to explore the farmland we have a tree platform and tree swing in 20 acre field. down here you can take a picnic or a sundowner and take in the amazing views across the farmland. we regularly see deer and foxes. perhaps you want to take a picnic or even breakfast down to the deck and we highly recommend it . there is nothing better than an alfresco meal in the countryside.

Sustainability
we have made lots of conscious decisions to make the cottages have as little impact on the environment as possible. We live in such a beautiful place and we would like t to stay this way. The cottage is powered on solar energy using our 32 solar panels which provide enough energy to power the cottage, hot tub, the EV charging point and gives us enough power for all our laundry for the cottage. as well as this we use refillable cleaning and laundry products supplied to us by zero waste shop Blueberry den reducing our plastic waste. all rubbish that you leave is sorted and recycling, glass and cans are sent to our local recycling points.
We use local products where possible such as the cafetiere coffee from Forest edge coffee and tea from New Forest Tea. perhaps you would like to take some home we sell a selection in the reception.
we provide you with lots of walking maps with some going directly from the the cottage reducing the need for your car. We highly recommend hiring bikes and exploring the forest on two wheels. there are lots of safe tracks off the main roads where you can spot the ponies and maybe even some deer on your journey.

we are lucky enough to have land that we are passionate about looking after and make sure habitats and wildlife are preserved. we let hedgerows grow trees flourish and our woodland cared for by managing these areas. its a pleasure to be able to share them. perhaps it will inspire you to get outdoors more and you will enjoy seeing your children and family flourish too in this beautiful countryside.
